What is FBL?

I’m Nicole O’Dell and I started the FBL website/community as a way to reach out to people just like me and you. People who want to be fit in the midst of their busy lives. Maybe you already have a great fitness program and you’re working it but lack companionship or accountability for your journey. Or maybe you’re desperate to lose weight like I was and want so badly to become that active and fit person you know is within you, but you’re having a hard time making it work with your lifestyle.

I’ll be sharing very personal and vulnerable thoughts about my fitness journey and my own fit and busy life. I’ll also be sharing recipes and discussions about food. I’ll share my training plans and goals and my upcoming races and public events. And then I’ll be honest about how they went in my race reports.

The thread that weaves through it all is my faith in God and my belief that He calls us to do everything in our lives with excellence–even our fitness. I had to figure that out the hard way after years of disappointment and regret. Now I just want to help you live with excellence in your fit and busy life. Thankfully, with faith, focus, and friendship on your side, there’s nothing you can’t do. I hope you’ll let me and the community at, be a part of your journey.
